Rave Construcciones was founded in August 2007, at the time protected under the corporate name berah construcción LTDA. Our entry into the business and professional world began with a somewhat ambitious goal for our possibilities, it was then in 2007 when barely finishing our university studies attracted by the good performance of the housing sector we decided to take on the challenge of conceiving, marketing and executing the construction of the Oporto 69 building, a 7-story tower with 22 personalized apartments located in a stratum 6 area, in one of the best listed neighborhoods in the city of Montería.
Although we had to face an arduous learning process during the execution of this first project, our dedication and commitment drove us to seek to expand our portfolio of services and occupy our idle capacity from the first years in the execution of small infrastructure projects in which we often subcontracted or took on jobs just for learning and to gain recognition in the market, a strategy that allowed us to continue growing and gain knowledge and experience in the development of bridges, adaptations of varied public infrastructure, basic sanitation, paving, parks, stadiums, wastewater pumping stations, treatment plants, among other activities.
During this initial period of growth, we continued to develop high-rise housing, as well as participating in the conception and development of social interest housing projects. We studied and adapted to the different national government policies that varied significantly between 2009 and 2013, participating in the structuring of macro-housing projects of national interest and in different processes of land allocation for the construction of social housing.
In 2013, after 6 years of intense work, portfolio problems, slow turnover and the continuous bureaucratic obstacles inherent in state contracting took their toll on the company's progress, getting us stuck in a spiral of unproductivity that almost destroyed the company, leading us to make the decision to indefinitely distance ourselves from public contracting and concentrate our full dedication to the housing sector by virtue of our passion for this niche.
Likewise, in parallel and as we were unloading work to specialize in housing development, the desire to surpass regional standards and the search for competitiveness as a means of survival, added to an insatiable curiosity to discover the world, led us to begin a process of exploring international supply chains, not only in the search to optimize costs but to get closer to different technologies, materials and a general knowledge of the market much broader than we had. During this process we established business relationships with North American, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Chilean and Mexican companies. Activities that allowed us to open complementary business lines for the production and distribution of concrete mixes, deep foundations, marketing of imported furniture and kitchens as well as the general import of differentiated finishes for construction.
With a great deal of experience acquired on different fronts, from the beginning of 2017 we began a new business phase of
Consolidation of operations, where, with a broader vision of the business and in the clear search for an increase in competitiveness, we decided to act under the premise of forming a company with robust processes, high efficiency and effectiveness, adopting the premise of sacrificing business volume until we had sufficient financial and operational robustness to perform in more activities than we would have wished. Since then, as we have been reaping the successes of a job well done, we continue to concentrate on enjoying what we do, putting our best effort into fulfilling each commitment and growing in an organized and disciplined manner.
